The McKean County Community Foundation awarded scholarships to a senior from Smethport Area High School and a senior from Allegany-Limestone (N.Y.) Middle-High School.

From Smethport Area High School, the recipient of the Pastor Craig Smith Memorial Scholarship is Emily Gustafson, who will receive $500. Collin Rounsville from Allegany-Limestone Middle-High School will receive $500 for the ARG Employee Scholarship.

Gustafson is the daughter of Brian and Amy Gustafson. She plans to attend Duquesne University to study biology. While attending high school, Gustafson was part of show choir, concert choir, student council, National Honor Society, volleyball, track, Varsity S Club, yearbook staff, ski club and prom committee, and she was a camp counselor a class officer.

Rounsville is the son of Jim and Keli Rounsville. He plans to attend SUNY Morrisville for the Diesel Equipment Technology program. While attending Allegany-Limestone, Rounsville was involved in ski club, National Technical Honor Society and SkillsUSA. He was involved in the community through the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department. He also attended NYS Boys State at SUNY Morrisville.
