Rep. Martin Causer, R-Turtlepoint, is inviting area senior citizens to the 17thannual Senior Citizens Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 2 at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Sports and Fitness Gymnasium.
The event is free to attend, and lunch will be provided. A new addition to the event this year features two informational sessions about REAL ID. “This is a great opportunity for area senior citizens, their family members and caregivers to learn more about programs and services available to them, all in one convenient location,” Causer said. “I encourage people to join us for this informative event.”
State, county and local exhibitors will be on hand to distribute information and answer questions. Information about health care, insurance, nutrition and exercise, fire safety, financial planning, fraud protection, government services, hunting/fishing and personal safety will be available. Health screenings will also be offered, and door prizes will be awarded.
Additional expos are scheduled Sept. 13, at the Kane Community Center, and Oct. 11, at the Roulette Fire Hall. Both events also will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
