Bridgeville woman injured in Hamlin Township crash
LEWIS RUN — A Bridgeville woman suffered minor injuries after crashing her sport utility vehicle on East Main Street in Hamlin Township at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday.
According to Lewis Run-based state police, an SUV driven by 64-year-old Helen Harrell was traveling west on East Main Street, when it drifted onto the right shoulder and off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled into a ditch for 150 feet before coming to a final rest in the ditch.
Harrell was transported to UPMC Kane via a Mount Jewett ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. She was charged with a summary traffic violation of driving on roadways laned for traffic, police reported.
