National Night Out promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. Over 38 million neighbors across 16 thousand communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide participate.
Bradford’s National Night out is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 6, on Chamber Street.
The event is free to attend and will include an inflatable bouncer, “Story Time with the City of Bradford Police,” a look inside the City Police cruisers, tours of the Bradford Central Fire Station, face-painting and more. Children who attend the event will receive a small “goody bag.”
Neighbors throughout Bradford and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement.
National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign, showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement. When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen.
This event is nationally sponsored by NATW, Ring, Dietz & Watson, Associates, AT&T, A&W Root Beer, Renewal By Andersen, Academy Sports & Outdoors, and co-sponsored locally by Neighborhood Partnership Program (NPP) partners, Northwest Bank and Zippo.
