SMETHPORT — Voting is now open for the McKean County Fair’s annual Beautiful Baby Contest.
One cent equals one vote for the 18 children, including a set of twins, who were born after July 1, 2018. All are McKean County residents.
The contestants are Mia Marie Waid, McKinnleigh Covert, twins Jaxon and Lincoln Miller, Lucas Wilson, Rylee Myers, Westyn Mac Darush, Jude Davis, Stormi Dawn Billyard, Alyssa Irene Miles, Chelsea Baker, Gianna Evelyn Kamets, Aspyn Rose Graham, Beau Brabham, Logan Thomas, Katelynn Nolte, Z. Sophia Taylor and Margaret J. Carol McLeod.
Until Aug. 7, displays containing jars and the contestants’ photos are located throughout the county: Save-A-Lot, Bradford; Costa’s Supermarket, Smethport; Hamlin Bank and Trust Company, Eldred; Shop ‘N Save, Port Allegany; and Save-A-Lot, Kane.
Voting will continue at the McKean County Fair through Aug. 15 at the office and store. The winner will be announced at a program on the mini-stage at 3 p.m., Aug. 17.
