Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services will hold three local training sessions at the end of July on workplace medical marijuana, drug identification and Narcan.
On July 30, there will be two sessions, one in Emporium and one in St. Marys, and on July 31, there will be one in Bradford.
The first session will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 30 at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and Artisan Center, 34 E. 4th St., Emporium. The second will be from 1 to 3 p.m. July 30 at the Community Education Council, 4 Erie Ave., Suite 200, St. Marys. The third will be from 9 a.m. to noon July 31 in the Marilyn Horne Building, fifth floor ballroom, 2 Marilyn Horne Way, Bradford.
Attendees will learn the cost of substance abuse to a workplace; usage identification; laws, norms and restrictions on medical marijuana; obtaining free Narcan; and building a drug-free workplace policy. Presenters will be Kathy Strain, who will talk on drug free workplaces; Corporal Ted Race, a PSP drug recognition expert; and Sheri Larson, ADAS prevention program manager.
