RIDGWAY — A fire that occurred Thursday afternoon in Jones Township has been ruled incendiary in nature.
State police fire marshal Trooper Russell Stewart reported that he and the Wilcox Fire Department investigated a fire that happened at 3:35 p.m. Thursday in an abandoned residence at 66 Oak St. No one was injured.
Investigators determined that it was incendiary and that alleged actor was a 57-year-old woman from Wilcox, Stewart reported. The woman’s name was not released.
Damage is estimated at $100. The victim is listed as Lea Mowrey of Wilcox, who does not have insurance, Stewart said.
The investigation continues.
