MACHIAS, N.Y. — Cattaraugus County Clerk Alan Bernstein will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday for the Cattaraugus County Museum’s “Summer at the Stone House” event series.
The originally scheduled speaker, Dr. Anthony Evans, director of the Cattaraugus County Youth Bureau, will be unable to speak due to an unforeseen circumstance
Bernstein has been the county clerk since 2014, and served as the deputy county clerk for 24 years before that. He grew up in Portville and now lives in Olean with his wife, Paula. He volunteers for many causes throughout the county.
Bernstein will be at the museum to talk to people about the differences in three types of ID in New York — Enhanced License, a Real ID License or a passport — and what is needed to get them.
The program is free and open to the public.
The Cattaraugus County Museum is located in the Stone House, 9824 Route 16 in Machias. For more information, call (716) 353-8200 or visit cattco.org/museum.
