WARREN — James M. Colestro has been named corporate senior vice president, retail lending, of Northwest Bank.
Lou Torchio, executive vice president, retail lending, made the announcement.
In his role, Colestro manages all aspects of operations and sales for Northwest’s distributed mortgage banking model. He has been particularly successful in quickly establishing an experienced operations team based in Columbus, Ohio; designing efficient workflows and hiring two experienced sales teams in the Cleveland and Buffalo, N.Y., markets.
Colestro joined Northwest in 2007 as a management trainee. Since that time, he’s held a number of positions throughout the bank, including assistant manager of the Northwest office located at 950 E. Main St. in Bradford, regional retail lending manager and virtual lending manager. He’s been in integral part of numerous special projects, including the implementation of the bank’s first virtual mortgage lending program.
A graduate of University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, Colestro holds his bachelor’s degree in economics and business management with minors in finance and marketing. He’s also a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Banking.
Colestro is the son of James and Ann Colestro of Bradford. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.
