BROCKWAY — The fourth annual Frank Varischetti All-Star football game is set for this evening at 7 o’clock in Brockway.
The game will feature seniors from the northern part of District 9 — the former Allegheny Mountain League — against their counterparts from the south in the former Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference.
Leading the AML is Smethport coach Adam Jack while Clarion-Limestone’s Dave Eggleton will guide the KSAC.
Players participating for the AML include…. Bradford: Donny Pattison, Jaron Ambrose and Nathan Gehm; Cameron County: Devin Geitner; Coudersport: Stephen Kelly, Mason Klesa and Wyatte Osborne; Elk County Catholic: Hunter Cashmer, Ben Sherry, Alex Breindel and Ryan Fritz; Otto-Eldred: Chris Connelly, Charles “Trey” Lee and Chase Sebastian; Ridgway: Evan Furlong, Daunte Allegretto, Chase Pontious, Parker Rohr and Isaac Schloder; Smethport: Blake Kinner, Nathan Hollowell, Bradley LaFleur and Grant Ognen.
St. Marys, which will participate as part of the KSAC, is represented by Alex Agosti.
The AML has won the previous three games, including a 40-14 rout last year.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children.
At halftime, several $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to players.
