A Roulette woman waived a preliminary hearing Thursday in McKean County Central Court on drug allegations.
Kimberly Anne Bisher, 28, of 48 River St., is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance, felonies; criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; possessing a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and endangering the welfare of children, a first-degree misdemeanor.
According to court records, on March 6, 2017, a confidential informant of the McKean County Drug Task Force purchased .02 grams of buprenorphine and 10 Tramadol pills from Bisher in the informant’s car in the parking lot of a store in Port Allegany. Task force members said Bisher had an infant in her car when she arrived to make the transaction, and left the infant alone in her car when she made the sale.
She remains jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail. She is represented by the McKean County Public Defender’s office.
Hearing set for fraud charges
A former local man has been charged with felony theft for allegedly taking money, but failing to perform roofing work on a camp in Eldred.
Gregory Allen Westlake, 56, who is currently incarcerated in Erie County Jail, is charged with theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking, making a false statement to induce agreement for home improvement services and receiving advance payment for services not performed, all third-degree felonies.
According to the criminal complaint, between July and August of 2018, Westlake entered into an agreement with another person to put a roof on the man’s camp, which is near the West Eldred Road. However, he took $2,500 and didn’t perform any work, the complaint alleged.
He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on July 11. He was arraigned June 6 and bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
Woman waives drug hearing
Briana Rollins, who was arrested in Bradford and charged with selling crack cocaine, waived her preliminary hearing in McKean County Central Court Thursday.
Rollins, 27, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver/delivery, felonies; conspiracy possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; criminal use of a communication facility, a third-degree felony; and possession of a small amount of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
She and Leonesha Brown, 26, allegedly sold crack to a confidential informant of the Drug Task Force last Friday, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.
After the alleged sale, officers with Bradford City Police pulled over the vehicle the women were driving on Chestnut Street in Bradford. The vehicle was reported stolen by Hertz Rental Company in Buffalo, Shaffer said.
Officers searching the vehicle found money, baggies commonly used to package crack cocaine for sale, and a scale with suspected cocaine residue believed to have been used to weigh the crack cocaine prior to sale. Upon arrest, Rollins was found to be in possession of additional crack cocaine, Shaffer said.
Both women are incarcerated in lieu of $75,000 bail each. Brown is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday before District Judge Dom Cercone. She is represented by attorney Casey Graffius, while Rollins is represented by attorney Christopher Martini.
