A Port Allegany man jailed for charges relating to child pornography and sexual contact with a child will face a preliminary hearing July 1.
Gage Ortiz Rodriguez, 21, of South Main Street, will appear for a hearing before District Judge Bill Todd in Smethport at 9 a.m. July 1. He is represented by the McKean County Public Defender’s office.
According to the criminal complaint, between June 1, 2017, and May 1, 2018, Rodriguez had sexual contact with two juveniles, directed the two juveniles to take off their clothes and engage in sexual activity while he took photos.
Rodriguez is charged with four second-degree felony counts of photographing or videotaping a person under the age of 18 engaging in a sex act; one count each of disseminating photos or videos of a child engaging in a sex act and possession of child pornography, third-degree felonies; four counts of corruption of minors, two of criminal contact with a minor relating to sexual abuse, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor relating to sexual offenses and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor relating to open lewdness, all third-degree felonies; one count of indecent exposure, a first-degree misdemeanor; one count of indecent assault without consent, a second-degree misdemeanor; one count of open lewdness, a third-degree misdemeanor; and one count of harassment, a summary offense.
Rodriguez was arraigned last weekend before District Judge David Engman in Kane and remanded to McKean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
