COUDERSPORT — The Eliot Ness Fest committee will conduct a 1920s clothing workshop Tuesday at the Potter County Artisan Center in Coudersport, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Deb Plummer, Michele Moore and Becky Obleski are hosts. Topics included are: Appropriate Dress and Footwear for Men, Women and Children; Modifying Modern Clothing; and What to Look For at Second-Hand Clothing Shops.
Moore will give the intro and overview and have a power point presentation. Plummer will discuss how one can utilize modern clothing from your own closet, or a thrift store, to create the 1920s look. She is planning a demo using the mannequin at the Artisan Center.
Obleski will talk about hair styles, period makeup and hats.
The presenters will also touch on men’s and children’s clothing, especially in a video. The Second Annual Eliot Ness Fest will be held in Coudersport July 19-21.
Cost for the workshop is a small donation to the Artisan Center. Pre-registration is recommended by calling the Center at 814.274.8165 (leave name, address and phone number) or by emailing pottercountyartisancenter@gmail.com
