KANE — A Custer City man is facing allegations that he threatened to kill someone and refused to leave a Kane residence.
Michael R. Butters, 34, of Susquehanna Road, Custer City, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge David Engman on charges of terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor, and defiant trespassing, a third-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, at 8:14 p.m. May 20, Butters entered 413 Chase St. when he was not welcome to do so. The tenant asked him to leave, and he refused.
Also, Butters threatened to beat up and kill someone, the complaint stated.
Butters is free on $2,500 unsecured bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on June 20.
