SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Paul Reid, CEO of The Reid Group/Crosby’s, recently received the New York Association of Convenience Stores’ 2019 Carl Tripi Award at the association’s Chairman’s Banquet held May 16 in Syracuse.
Given annually in recognition of “low-profile, high-impact” contributions to the association and the convenience store industry as a whole, the Carl Tripi Award is named for the former chairman of Tripifoods Inc., who played a quiet but active role in NYACS and ensured the association had the financial and volunteer support it needed to succeed.
“It’s truly an honor to be recognized with the Carl Tripi Award,” said Reid. “I believe it is critical for businesses to support their industry associations and the needs of their communities as part of being a best-in-class business.”
Reid is a third-generation member of family-owned and operated The Reid Group, the parent company of Crosby’s. Under his leadership, Crosby’s has grown and expanded, and now operates 82 locations throughout Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania.
