SMETHPORT — A free workshop on rain barrels and rain gardens will be presented at 6:30 p.m. June 20 at Hamlin Lake Park pavilion in Smethport.
The workshop will begin with a presentation by guest speaker Danielle Rhea, Water Resources Educator with Penn State Extension. All participants can build and take home their own free rain barrel.
Plan to bring a vehicle large enough to transport a 55 gallon plastic barrel. Pre-register by June 17th by calling the McKean County Conservation District at 814-887-4001 or send email to conservation@mckeancountypa.org. Space is limited.
