A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail after allegedly assaulting someone with a box cutter early Monday morning.
Michael J. Keller, 45, of 23 Pearl St., upper apartment, was arraigned before District Judge William Todd on charges of aggravated assault, second-degree felony; simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor; and summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.
According to the criminal complaint, at 12:19 a.m. Monday, Megan Buterbaugh and Sarah Wade were in Buterbaugh’s backyard in Bradford trying to get her dog back in the house.
Keller began screaming obscenities at them and asking what they were doing. The females didn’t reply, and Keller began swinging a knife and board at them, and he tried to throw a ladder at Wade, the complaint stated.
Wade tried to calm Keller down, and Keller allegedly cut the top of Wade’s right hand with a box cutter. Buterbaugh got between Keller and Wade and got Wade away from him, according to the complaint.
Keller is incarcerated in lieu of $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court on June 20.
