POETRY: We received some more poems from Joy Pascarella of Bradford, and want to share them with you.
The first is called “Fear.”
Fear is controlling
Fear is gripping
Fear is draining
Fear is crippling
Fear predicts the future
Fear conducts today
Fear is time consuming
Fear gets in the way
Stare down fear, take back control
Build up courage, let fear go.

“The Ones We Thought”
The ones we thought were besties
The ones we thought we knew
The ones we thought would never hurt us
Turns out to be untrue.
The ones we poured our hearts out to
And shared our every thought
Are the ones who hurt us deeply,
And love us they did not.
Our journey through life leads us to
The ones who show they care.
The ones we thought we knew so well
No longer need be there.
