MACHIAS, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Museum and Research Library will host its fourth annual “Family Day at the Museum” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The event, which will take place during New York State’s spring Path Through History Weekend, will provide programming for the entire family.
To begin the programming, the WNY Fiddle Kids will perform at 12:30 p.m. The Fiddle Kids, led by Heather Pennington of East Concord, range in age from 9 to 18 and always put on a great performance of traditional fiddle tunes. This will be their fourth appearance at the museum.
At 2 p.m. the museum will host an educational program on birds of Western New York given by Wild Spirit Education of Delevan. Wild Spirit, founded by Paul Fehringer, is dedicated to educating the public about the natural world in addition to the group’s work rescuing and rehabilitating sick, injured and orphaned wild animals.
Visitors are invited to join the museum for lunch, as Boy Scout Troop 627 will once again be selling hot dogs and other refreshments.
This event is free and open to the public.
