Crosby woman accused of stealing $2K

SMETHPORT — Lewis Run-based state police plan to file charges against a Crosby woman for allegedly stealing money from Herzog’s Valley Store, 5446 Route 46, Keating Township.

According to state police, 34-year-old Jennifer Carpenter allegedly took about $2,110 over a period of seven days while working as a cashier.

Police said Carpenter will be charged for theft.
