Leah Costik, the daughter of Sally and John Costik of Bradford, graduated May 19 from Marquette University with a Master of Arts in international affairs and as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, a political science honors society.
This summer, Costik will attend the University of Wisconsin Madison, where she received a fellowship to study Kazakh (the official language of the Republic of Kazakhstan) at the Central Eurasian Summer Studies Institute.
Next fall, she will pursue a doctorate in political science at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Costik graduated from Bradford Area High School in 2009 and Millersville University in 2014. Her international experience includes a year as a Rotary exchange student in Turkey, service in Zambia with the United States Peace Corps, and studies in Azerbaijan under the United States Department of State Critical Language Scholarship.
