Graduation ceremony held at Overcomers Church of Faith

A graduation ceremony was held May 17 at Overcomers Church of Faith in Aiken for home-schooler Ireland Grace Wilbon of 52 Lake Circle Drive, Bradford.

Rebecca Austin, president of the Home Schoolers Co-Op of Olean, N.Y., and James Knaus, one of Wilbon’s teachers from the co-op, gave words of praise and encouragement. Rev. Jeff Hokenson, senior pastor of Pioneer Christian Fellowship, Arcade, N.Y., gave the commencement address.

Accompanied by her parents, Fred and Tanya Wilbon, and siblings, Kieran and Brenna, Ireland Wilbon left the next day to motor to Florida to attend a mass graduation of home-schoolers at a convention at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.

She began her home-schooling in Edgwater, Fla., after attending elementary school in a church school in Daytona Beach. Her next phase of education has not yet been determined.
