FEATURE: The Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau passed along some positive press on tourism in this region.
Executive Director Linda Devlin shared a copy of the May 2019 edition of Bus Tours Magazine, with this region highlighted.
“At one of the world’s top 10 most-scenic skywalks, guests will be amazed with the 360-degree panoramic views of Kinzua Gorge at Allegheny National Forest.”
And of course, the fall colors are mentioned, too.
The article mentions a drive on Longhouse Scenic Byway, a stop in Kane for “tasting and touring” at places like CJ Spirits, Logyard Brewing, Twisted Vine Beverage or Flickerwood Wine Cellars.
The Zippo Museum, Marilyn Horne Museum and Penn Brad Oil Museum are included, too, as well as a stop at the John Williams European Pastry Shop.
An aerial view of the skywalk accompanies the article.
Very nice.
The Allegheny National Forest, “on the trail to something big,” is featured as the cover of the Tour Tips Newsletter, too.
“Groups will say ‘Awesome! Wow!’ when they experience the Kinzua Sky Walk, ‘One of the Top 10 Most Scenic Skywalks in the World.’ They will be amazed with the 360- degree panoramic views of Kinzua Gorge. Lush green forestlands turn into a colorful quilt of blazing yellow, ruby red and brilliant orange during the fall. Located within the Kinzua Bridge State Park, the Kinzua Sky Walk and the new interactive visitors center are free attractions. Add to the experience by requesting a free park program, such as ‘history of the bridge.’”
A series of beautiful nature shots are included, of the Skywalk, the Erik Benjamin Bridge at Marilla Reservoir, the forest and even Bradford’s Old City Hall.
Reading that makes us want to take a trip to see the local sites!
