Military veterans and their families are invited to a picnic Sunday afternoon at Veterans Square in downtown Bradford.

The event, being hosted by Open Arms Church of Bradford, is being held from 2 to 4 p.m. along Marilyn Horne Way. The menu includes Sloppy Joes, pasta salad, cookies and beverages.

“Open Arms would like to thank all of the veterans who have served and sacrificed their lives and their time for our country and our communities,” said Annette Stark, Open Arms assistant outreach coordinator. “We figured a picnic held on Memorial Day weekend would be the perfect time to show our appreciation.”
