WILCOX — Grace Notes Studio of Wilcox has announced that five local teen students have recorded their debut original singles and will release them worldwide in June.
The studio is having a party to celebrate this dream come true.
The release party will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the banquet hall at The Dam Inn on Glen Hazel Road in Wilcox. Doors will open at 6 p.m., when attendees will be able to meet the artists, buy autographed photos and pre-order CDs. At 7 p.m. will be the world premiere of the songs with a live performance by each teen.
There is no admission fee. Space is limited.
All the songs were recorded, mixed, and mastered by Remember to Breathe Records of Sharpsville. The worldwide digital release will be handled by Symphonic Distribution.
The community will be able to buy and stream their songs at all major digital music sites, including iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, YouTube and more. They are invited to follow the Grace Notes Studio Facebook page for more information.
The new teen recording artists are:
Gabriella
Gabriella Fye is a senior at St. Marys Area High School. She wrote her own original song called “Tell Me.” She sings lead vocals and plays keys. She also added MIDI percussion effects, and painted her own original cover art for the single. She is the daughter of Wes and Beth Fye of Weedville.
Olivia
Olivia Matha is a sophomore at Elk County Catholic High School. She wrote her own original song titled “Perfect Mess” that features her singing lead and back-up vocals. She also plays guitar on the track. She drew her own original cover art for the single. She is the daughter of Chris and Carrie Matha of Ridgway.
Elizabeth Anderson
Elizabeth Anderson is a sophomore at Elk County Catholic High School. She recorded “Fallin’ for You” — an original song co-written by Olivia Matha and Tracie Pretak. It features Anderson on vocals with Matha on guitar and Pretak on keys. Her cover photo art was created by Herman Locke of Locke Creations. Anderson is the daughter of Craig and Mary Anderson of St. Marys.
Marshall Hetrick
Marshall Hetrick is a freshman at Johnsonburg Area High School. He has written his own original song, “Stars.” Tess Kocjancic of Johnsonburg co-wrote the lyrics. On the single, he sings lead and back-up vocals, and also plays the baritone ukulele. His cover art was painted by Shana Polaski of Johnsonburg. Hetrick is the son of Marc and Katie Hetrick of Johnsonburg.
Jenny Lynn
Jenny Lynn Crowley is a freshman at Kane Area High School. Her debut single, “Closer to Forever,” was written by Gabriella Fye. The recording features Crowley on vocals and cello, accompanied by Tracie Pretak on keys. Her cover photo was taken by her mom. Crowley is the daughter of Holly Jo Crowley of Mount Jewett and Pete Crowley of Kane.
