The Western New York Mountain Bike Association (WNYMBA) to celebrate National Trails Day on June 1 by working on the Stone Tower Trail.
The public is invited to volunteer to help.
With help from the Friends of Allegany State Park, WNYMBA secured a grant to build nine miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing near the Stone Tower.
Participants are asked to grab their gloves and head out for a work day on Phase I of the Stone Tower Trail. Anyone who likes hiking, biking, backcountry skiing or just enjoying the outdoors is invited to join WNYMBA, the Allegany Trail Crew and the Friends of Allegany State Park as they build sections of this new trail.
The event is free, but participants are asked to register so lunch can be planned. Register on Meetup at https://www.meetup.com/WNY-Mountain-Bike-Meetup/events/258673029/ or Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/240871840124258/
