This weekend, Studio K will take the stage at Johnsonburg High School for its 14th annual recital, “This is the Greatest Show.”
The circus-themed evening of entertainment features dancers from Kane, Mount Jewett, Smethport, Ridgway, Johnsonburg, St. Marys and Bradford and has routines in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, acrobatics and more.
To add to these year’s recital, Studio K is choosing to honor the memory and legacy of Ariella Stein. Ariella, daughter of David and Erica Stein from Baltimore, Md., was an 11-year-old girl who battled Ewing’s sarcoma for two years before passing away last week following complications of a bone marrow transplant. Ariella was a Dancer Against Cancer Hope Story alongside Rory Undercoffer, daughter of Studio K Director Kate Undercoffer.
During her illness, Ariella created “Ari’s Bears.” Her foundation collected new stuffed animals and distributed them to children in the hospital. To honor Ariella’s memory, Studio K is joining forces with Ari’s Bears.
At the recital this weekend, everyone who brings a new-with-tags stuffed animal will receive entry into a raffle for a large gift basket. Prizes are pouring in and so far include Studio K merchandise, a Studio K gift card, a Table 105 gift card and more.
Studio K invites the public to consider helping Ariella’s family during this incredibly tough time.
