WARREN — A 7-year-old Tidioute boy died when he was run over by a pick-up truck Saturday at the Tidioute Overlook in Limestone Township, Warren County.
According to Warren-based state police, Justin Edward Sweitzer, 33, of Tidioute, was getting ready to leave the overlook with the boy and was “‘playing’ with the victim by speeding up as he was trying to open the vehicle door.”
The boy fell and was run over by the truck, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the Warren General Hospital.
Police did not indicate if charges would be filed, but they did report the investigation continues.
The Tidioute Volunteer Fire Department assisted on scene.
