Karen Hector has announced that she is running for her fourth term in office as Bradford City treasurer on the Republican ticket.
She has been employed at the City of Bradford for 25 years. This will be her 12th year as city treasurer and the previous years as an administrative assistant for the Department of Public Works.
Hector has an associate’s degree in accounting and is also certified as an Act 48 Tax Collector through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania State Tax Collector’s Association and the McKean County Tax Collection Committee.
Hector is also the bookkeeper of the Bradford American Legion Post 108.
She is the daughter of Frances Hector and the late Arthur “Bud” Hector.
She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Italian American Progressive Club.
