In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Bradford Rotary Club is holding a supply drive to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of McKean County.
Items needed include: Gas cards, gift cards to Smethport area restaurants, journals, notebooks, sketch pads, stress balls, gift cards to purchase healthy snacks, puzzle books, teen and adult coloring books, new stuffed animals, scented markers, children and teen books, and toys for children age birth to 13.
The CAC is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to serving child victims of abuse and their families by providing collaborative services in a child friendly environment to reduce trauma and promote healing.
“Each year the Rotary Club raises funds and holds supply drives for local organizations which provide Rotarians a way to exercise the club tenet of ‘Service above Self’,” stated Bradford Rotary Club President, Angela Erway. “To raise awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month and assist the CAC provide supplies for children who have experienced the trauma of abuse is very close to the heart of the Bradford Rotary Club.”
Supplies for the CAC can be dropped off at CARE for Children, 723 E. Main St., Bradford and the YWCA, 24 W. Corydon St., Bradford.
