Open Arms Church will host its Easter service Sunday at Bradford Area High School.
The service, a continuation of its “Making A Messiah” series where Jesus Christ’s claims are put on trial, will start at 10 a.m. in the high school auditorium at 81 Interstate Parkway.
Children’s activities are also available.
Doors open at 9 a.m.
“We’re hoping to pack the auditorium,” said Pastor Mike McAvoy. “This has been a powerful series. The response has been incredible as people are seeing what Jesus actually claimed, to be divine and exclusively the way to eternal life, and the facts of what He did to prove and live up to these claims as witnessed by multitudes both friends and enemies.”
The Easter service will include the final piece of evidence on which the whole of Christianity stands or falls, and the attendees as the jury will decide the case for themselves, he said.
“Either Jesus is who He claimed and everything He said is true, or He is a liar or lunatic and none of it is true,” McAvoy said. “For truth seekers there really are no other options, and we must all decide our response to the facts and truth of this case. There really is no more important issue to get settled as we will all be spending far more time beyond this world than we will in it.”There will be bus transportation available to bring people to the high school.
The stops and times are Togi’s Sub Station at 402 E. Main St., 8:50 a.m.; Save-A-Lot at 75 Forman St., 9 a.m.; Tops at 150 E. Main St., 9:05 a.m.; Marilyn Horne Hall at 2 Marilyn Horne Way, 9:15 a.m.; the bus stop along Barbour Street across from the VFW hall, 9:25 a.m., and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford police station, 9:35 a.m.
