ST. MARYS — Two nationally recognized pro life activists spoke at the Red Fern in St. Marys on April 1.
“Abortion is a moral issue,” was the opening statement of Kristan Hawkins, National President of Students for Life of America, when she spoke to an assembly of over 200 who gathered recently at the Red Fern in St. Marys to listen to her Pro Life presentation.
She and Liana Hollendonner, Students for Life of America coordinator for the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware, spoke as guests of Life Matters Elk County, a local group of concerned citizens, local pastors, Elk County Right to Life, and Elk County Catholic Students for Life.
Hawkins and Hollander gave presentations also at Elk County Catholic Middle/High School and DuBois Central Catholic School. Approximately 35 students from St. Marys Area High School attended the ECCSS event as an educational field trip.
