SMETHPORT — A Bradford woman who was accused of conspiring in a robbery in November was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to jail time for an assault conviction.
Bobbie J. Smith, 33, pleaded guilty earlier this month to a single misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Other charges including robbery and aggravated assault were dropped.
Smith was sentenced Thursday to 75 days to one year in McKean County Jail with credit for 128 days of time served. She was also sentenced to one year of probation, to be served concurrently, or at the same time as, the jail term.
Smith entered the plea March 7 to allegations that on Nov. 15, she punched a woman in the face, causing substantial injury and pain.
Meanwhile, Smith’s codefendant, Tiffany L. Tarr, has yet to appear in McKean County Court. Her case is still pending and she has not been convicted of any charges.
At the time they were charged, Smith and Tarr were alleged to have taken $20 each, for a total of $40.
On Thursday, Smith paid $40 in restitution.
