A Bradford woman will face a preliminary hearing later this month on allegations that she was highly intoxicated while she was supposed to be caring for two children.
Christina Kinney, 33, of 107 School St., is charged with two third-degree felony counts of endangering the welfare of children.
According to court records, on Dec. 30, officers were dispatched to her residence for a welfare check. Officers knocked at her door repeatedly, and could hear a child crying inside the residence. After several minutes, Kinney came to the door with a nose bleed “from falling down just prior to answering the door.” Officers said she smelled strongly of alcohol, had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and had problems balancing because she was so intoxicated, the criminal complaint stated.
She was the only adult in the residence with two children, ages 8 and 21 months, the complaint stated.
Kinney remains free on unsecured bail, and is scheduled for a hearing at 9 a.m. March 27 before District Judge Dom Cercone in Bradford.
