A hearing has been set for March 25 for a Kane man accused of choking a woman in two separate arguments at her residence in February.
Nicholas Leonard, 30, of 5926 Route 66, is charged with two counts each of strangulation, second-degree felonies; simple assault, second-degree misdemeanors; and harassment, summary offenses.
The criminal complaint in the case alleged that on Feb. 13 and Feb. 21, Leonard went to his on-again-off-again girlfriend’s residence, the two argued, and on both occasions, he choked her and pinned her down. On the second occasion, he also threw her to the ground, hurting her tailbone, the complaint stated.
He is free on $30,000 bail. A hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. March 25 before District Judge David Engman in Kane.
