RIDGWAY — The state police fire marshal is investigating a Ridgway house fire that has been ruled an arson.
Trooper Russell D. Stewart reported that a structure fire that occurred at 4 p.m. Monday at 811 Front St. has been classified as an arson. Stewart said the fire originated in the first floor of the two-story residence and there was no one home at the time of the incident. An occupant of the home, Zachary Hoyt, 29, did not have insurance, troopers said. The estimated damage totals at $100,000.
