SMETHPORT — A Bradford man accused in two drug deliveries was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a jail term.
Leonard E. Elder III, 27, will serve eight to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail with credit for 72 days of time served and a concurrent two-year term of probation for the two drug cases.
On Feb. 14, Elder pleaded guilty in one case to a charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and in the second case to possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. He entered the plea to allegations that on Sept. 19 he delivered about 0.5 grams of crack cocaine to a confidential informant with the McKean County Drug Task Force; then, on Dec. 18, he conspired with Mitchell Garner to deliver 0.8 grams of crack cocaine to a task force informant.
Also in court, Armando L. Aponte, 37, of Bradford, was sentenced to serve one to two years in state prison with credit for 81 days of time served for a charge of simple assault. On Feb. 14, Aponte pleaded guilty to allegations that on April 12, he struck a woman.
Julian M. Ruibal, 25, of Franklinville, N.Y., will serve 25 days to 18 months in McKean County Jail for a charge of simple assault. On Jan. 31, Ruibal pleaded guilty to allegations that on April 10, he struck a 2-year-old child, causing red marks and bruising.
Troy A. Schuppenhauer, 29, of Bradford, will serve six to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail with credit for 107 days of time served for a charge of criminal attempted burglary. Schuppenhauer pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to allegations that on Nov. 10, he entered 444 High St., Bradford, to commit theft.
Amanda S. Allen, 36, of Bradford, will serve 15 days to one year in McKean County Jail for a charge of simple assault. Allen pleaded guilty Jan. 31 to allegations that on Oct. 22, she struck a woman in the head.
Megan E. Hogand, 26, of Bradford, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-controlled substance.
Michael K. Raybuck, 40, of Bradford, will serve six months of probation for a charge of DUI-general impairment and summary charges.
