Misdemeanor charge against Port Allegany man withdrawn

A misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest filed against a Port Allegany man in November has been withdrawn, court records indicate.

Tony Burford, 39, had a preliminary hearing in the case scheduled for Monday before District Judge William Todd.

Court records show the case was moved to a non-traffic summary charge of disorderly conduct. The allegations against Burford stem from a Nov. 3 incident in Liberty Township.
