DuBOIS — A Kersey woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Snyder Township, Jefferson County, at 8:14 p.m. Sunday.
DuBois-based state police said a vehicle driven by Abagail Dobson, 23, of Kersey, was traveling south on Route 28 near Horizon Drive when the vehicle went out of control while negotiating a slight curve in the road and traveled into the northbound lane. A vehicle driven by Frank Barber was traveling north, and struck Dobson’s vehicle. Police said Dobson was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Brenda Shumaker.
A passenger in Barber’s vehicle, Andrea Barber, suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police said both occupants of the Barber vehicle were wearing seatbelts.
Assisting at the scene were DuBois EMS and Brockway Volunteer Fire Department and EMS.
