The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce and Signature Sponsor Allegheny Beverage Company will be hosting the 7th Annual Bradford Brewfest Saturday, with an exciting variety of beverages on the menu.
This local event, returning by popular demand, is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. at the gymnasium at St. Bernard School, 450 W. Washington St. Bradford Brewfest, open to the public, is designed to offer attendees the chance to sample a wide variety of beverages, while also enjoying live music, great food, and more.
Allegheny Beverage Company (formerly Glenwood Beer Distributors) will be offering samples of more than 40 different flavors from nearly a dozen breweries. A few of the featured breweries this year include local favorite Four Mile Brewing from Olean, N.Y.; SweetWater Brewing Company from Atlanta, Ga.; Ithaca Beer Co. from Ithaca, N..; Evil Genius Beer Company from Philadelphia; and Ballast Point Brewing Company from San Diego, Calif.
Mary Ann Colestro from Allegheny Beverage Company said, “This event is always a great opportunity for consumers to try a variety of flavors that are out there that they may not see on a daily basis.”
Attendees will receive a program with the complete brew list. They can choose to explore the different flavors within their favorite brew types, and venture into new styles with which they might be less familiar.
“Bradford Brewfest is unique to the local area in bringing this many different flavors to attendees all at one time and place,” said Kara Kennedy, executive director of the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce. “It’s the perfect ‘cabin fever’ event — the winter starts to feel pretty long as March begins, and this gives everyone a chance to have fun with friends and try something new.”
Colestro said there will be something for everyone to try at the event.
“We hope that everyone enjoys the flavors we have chosen this year, some of which have just been released so it will be the first time many have been able to try them,” shared Colestro. “This year there is definitely something for everyone, from hard seltzers to IPAs to porters.”
In addition to the samples included with admission, attendees can also purchase select flavors at the “bar,” or even full-size bottles of their favorite brews to take home.
In addition to brew samples and live music by Ronan and Copeland, attendees can also enjoy pizza from Pizza Napoli and Restaurant and wings, walking tacos, and deep fried pickles from The City Line. Additional features of Bradford Brewfest will include a bucket auction and 50/50 drawing, and door prize drawings will be held throughout the evening. Other services include a coat check for guests’ convenience.
In order to accommodate overflow parking, a shuttle service will be available. The Area Transportation Authority of North Central Pennsylvania (ATA) will offer a shuttle beginning at 6 p.m. at the former Parkview parking lot (224 West Washington Street) and take passengers to Bradford Brewfest. The shuttle will return to the lot and pick up and drop off passengers approximately every 20 minutes until 9 p.m. The last return shuttle from Bradford Brewfest to the overflow parking lot will depart the school at approximately 9:20 p.m.
Tickets for Bradford Brewfest are available at the Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce.
Designated Driver tickets are also available for $10 per person and include free soda and water. All attendees must be 21 or older, and must bring appropriate identification — IDs will be scanned at the entrance. Everyone attending must register at the entrance to receive their wristband designating full ticket or designated driver. Wristbands are required to be served any beverage or food at the event.
