PORT ALLEGANY — Registration is open for the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library Building Fun(d) 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run.

The run/walk and fun run is the mid-year fundraiser for the library.

The event will be held April 6 during National Library Week. It will kick off at 9 a.m. at the S.W. Smith Memorial Public Library.

This year, organizers are offering a special pre-registration rate for students age 21 and under. Pre-register, due by March 25, is $20 for adults or $10 for students. The Kids Fun Run around the library is $5.

Registration after March 25 is $25 for adults and students or $5 for the Kids Fun Run. Children who participate in the Kids Fun Run will receive a finisher’s medal.

Building Fun(d) 5K Run/Walk registration forms are available at the S.W. Smith library, C&N Bank, JVB Branch Bank, Port Freeze and Port Pharmacy.

The Port Wine Walk will be held later that same day.
