KANE — A Kane man accused of threatening another man was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Engman.
Roger A. Akins, 33, of 308 Hacker St., is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor; and three counts of harassment, two third-degree misdemeanors and a summary charge.
According to the criminal complaint, between 11:25 and 11:40 p.m. Jan. 20, Akins tried to call Jason Tice 21 times.
Akins also allegedly sent threatening text messages saying he would hit Tice with a brick and place sugar in his four-wheeler’s gas tank. Akins said he was watching Tice’s house, too, court records stated.
Akins was released on $2,500 unsecured bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Feb. 21.
