PUNXSUTAWNEY —The Chucks won all four of Thursday’s contested matches against Bradford, claiming three decisions and a fall to down the Owls 33-24.
Brett Thompson (126 pounds), Colby Keane (160), Dillon Keane (170) and Dylan Mazzone (HWT) picked up forfeit victories for Bradford (1-8).
Meanwhile, Punxsy’s Garrett Eddy decisioned Derek Sunafrank 6-3 in 182 pounds, Joshua Miller won by fall over Kholten Fuller (1:46) in 195 pounds and Austin McCracken was decisioned by Jacob Shuckers, 3-0, in 220 pounds.
Bradford coach Jamey Miller did highlight the performance of Michael Gow, who was decisioned 7-0 by Garrett Fischer in 132 pounds.
“He wrestled better than he had all year,” Miller said. “He wrestled until the end and he didn’t give up a major decision. That’s really the only positive I can take from tonight.”
