Rosters for the 2019 New York/Pennsylvania Corporate Cup Soccer Showcase are now complete.
The third annual event is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Kessel Athletic Complex, the girls game set for 1 p.m. with the boys following at 4 o’clock.
New York’s teams have not lost a Corporate Cup game. In 2017, the Showcase’s first year, featuring only a boys contest, N.Y. prevailed, 1-0, at St. Bonaventure. Last May, New York’s boys won, 2-1, at UPB, while in the girls’ inaugural, N.Y. won 4-1.
Head coach for the Pennsylvania boys in this year’s renewal will be Brockway’s Rich Esposito assisted by R.J. Weaver (Elk County Catholic), Matt Erickson (DuBois), Denny Flatt (Warren) and Mike Puhala (Brockway)
Players from 11 schools comprise the Pennsylvania roster of 22.
Bradford tops the list with seven representatives while DuBois Catholic and St. Marys (3 apiece) and Brockway (2) also have multiple participants.
Four players competed in last year’s game: Ian Grady (Bradford), Jonathan Barroqueiro (Coudersport), Foster Kosa (Northern Potter) and C.J. McGowan (St. Marys).

The Pennsylvania girls head coach is Ridgway’s Greg Maddalena assisted by David Britten and Jessica Leadbetter (both Brockway), Warren Shaw (Bradford) and DeAnna Kelley (Ridgway).
The 22-player Pa. squad was selected from nine schools.
Bradford has the most representatives with six while Brockway and St. Marys (both 4) and DuBois and Ridgway (2 each) also have multiple representatives.
