Coudersport 64, Brookville 56
BROOKVILLE — Owen Chambers poured in a game-high 29 and the Falcons used a 26-6 explosion in the third quarter to down Brookville in a comeback non-league victory.
Trailing 29-28 at the half, Coudersport’s high-powered offense finally got going courtesy of some aggressive defense to propel that big run in the third quarter.
“We extended our defense and it got us some turnovers,” Coudy coach Brian Furman said. “(Hayden) Keck caused a little havoc with some deflections and we got some turnovers and scores from there.”
Keck netted seven points and added six rebounds for the Falcons (15-1), while Travis Gleason nearly picked up a double-double with 10 rebounds and seven points.
Chambers, meanwhile, followed up from breaking his school’s all-time points record Monday by sinking nine field goals and going 9-of-10 from the free-throw line for another dominant scoring night against Brookville.
Aaron Park had a team-high 14 for the Raiders, which fell to 11-7 on the season.
