DuBOIS — Randy L. Keister, MBA, has been named system director of physician recruitment for Penn Highlands Healthcare.
Keister will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment of new physicians and advanced practice providers for the system.
“I am honored to be part of Penn Highlands Healthcare,” Keister said. “It is a system that is growing and moving forward in making sure the region has the best healthcare available. It shows by the renovation and expansion projects that we are currently doing, and the plans for the future. As the system director of physician recruitment, I will be very involved in making sure the system and region has the providers we need to support the population. This will allow everyone to be offered specialty and sub-specialty care without having to leave the area. I know how important that can be to individuals and families.”
Keister comes to PHH from CarePoint Health in Jersey City, N.J., where he was director of Garden State Physicians Group which oversees 200 physicians and midlevel providers. He was also the director of Clinical Recruitment for Aisthesis Partners in Anesthesia in Bethesda, Md.; a consultant, recruiter and trainer for Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, the director of physician recruitment and retention in Susquehanna Health in Williamsport and professional staff recruiter for Geisinger Health System in Danville.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Keister was a recruitment director, health professions recruiter and a member of the Air Force Advertising Committee in Texas.
He and his wife Joyce have two children, Blair of Danville, and Derrick and his wife, Christa, of Bryn Mawr. Keister is also a member of the Pennsylvania and National School Board Associations.
