SMETHPORT — A Bradford man accused of assault was sentenced Thursday in McKean County Court to a term in McKean County Jail.
Steven A. Brooks, 53, of Bradford, will serve 30 days to 23 ½ months in jail with credit for four days of time served for a charge of simple assault. Brooks pleaded guilty Jan. 3 to allegations that on May 11, he pushed a female onto the floor of a deck, causing her to hit her head.
Also in court, Scott W. Button, 72, of Eldred, was sentenced to seven days to 18 months in McKean County Jail with credit for one day of time served for a charge of simple assault. On Jan. 17, Button pleaded guilty to allegations that on Dec. 24, after an argument with a woman, he shoved her, and she fell into a workbench; he also shoved her while she was in her vehicle hard enough that she thought she might have a broken wrist or rib.
John M. Schlopy, 31, of Kane, will serve 30 days to one year in McKean County Jail for a charge of false reports—reported offense did not occur. Schlopy pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to allegations that on Jan. 15, 2018, he reported to Kane Borough Police that someone entered his apartment and removed items, but the report turned out to be false.
Robert J. Nortum, 64, of Gifford, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
David A. Campbell, 34, of Warren, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of DUI-alcohol.
Ralph E. Bennett, 65, of Emporium, will serve 30 days to six months in McKean County Jail for charges of DUI-controlled substance and a summary charge.
Irene M. Salonis, 46, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation for a charge of criminal conspiracy to tamper with physical evidence. Salonis pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to allegations that between Jan. 9-26, 2018, Irene Salonis’s husband, Christopher Salonis, solicited her to tamper with physical evidence — the truck he drove in a police chase — by changing the lock mechanisms so the keys would not work in the ignition or the door.
Madison M. Lindquist, 21, of Kane, will serve one year of probation for a charge of simple assault. On Jan. 3, Lindquist pleaded guilty to allegations that on Feb. 10, she caused injury to another female during a mutual consent fight.
Marissa A. Olson, 25, of Kane, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Kelley K. Baltimore, 45, of Bradford, will serve 30 days of probation for a summary charge of use of firearms restricted.
Alex M. Ita, 31, of Bradford, will pay a $300 fine for a summary charge of disorderly conduct.
