RIDGWAY — A Brockport man was injured in a structure fire Wednesday afternoon in Horton Township.
Jay Himes, 62, of Brockport, was transported from the scene for treatment, according to state police fire marshal Trooper Russell Stewart.
The severity of Himes’s injuries was not released.
Stewart reported that the fire started about 2 p.m. Wednesday, originating near a natural gas space heater that Himes was trying to light. The fire was ruled to be accidental in nature.
The structure is a complete loss, with damage estimated at $50,000, said Stewart.
