It’s winter, but at least it isn’t like a Buffalo, N.Y., winter.
The Bradford area will be experiencing slightly warmer temperatures and wind chills, and less snow this weekend and early next week.
According to Mike Colbert, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in State College, today’s weather will be similar to that of Thursday with the high around 23 degrees, but this weekend will see “a little bit of a warmup, but not by much.”
And there shouldn’t be as much to shovel.
“It looks like there won’t be quite as much snow in the next few days,” he said, explaining that some minor snow showers are expected to pass through. “I don’t think these snow showers are going to accumulate very much, maybe a coating but not much more than that.”
As for wind chills, they too will be slightly rising.
He explained, “The wind chills are going to come up. They’re gonna be around 10 degrees, and Saturday they’ll be between 10 and 20 degrees.
“Nothing too significant, and a little bit of a warming trend as far as the wind goes,” the meteorologist said.
