COUDERSPORT — Port Allegany used six pins, two in under a minute, to earn a 60-12 win over Coudersport in high school boys wrestling action Wednesday.
Braedon Johnson had a win at 126 and Montgomery Taylor added a victory at 138, each at 52 seconds into the match. Also recording wins by fall were Bryant Johnson at 113, Eli Petruzzi at 132, Isaac Smoker at 145 and Justin Young at 220.
“Port has a good solid team and a full lineup. It’s great to get a chance to wrestle against them,” said Tom Storey, Coudersport coach. “We did our best. We look forward to seeing them in the team playoffs.”
Coudersport’s Dylan Hajzus claimed a win by major decision at 170, Thomas Wilson won the 160 weight class with a decision and Eli Ayers added a decision victory at 195.
Coudersport, now 6-6 on the season, will look for a win in Olean tonight as they return to action.
